Linda Kettel's son and daughter-in-law have requested prayers for Linda and Ray during Linda's recent illness.
For a week or so she had been having some tingling in one leg. After her symptoms seemed to be worsening, she decided to get it checked out, and has spent the last three days in the hospital near their winter home in Florida. After a lot of tests and too many anxious hours with no answers, the doctors have decided that she had a stroke rather than a re-occurrence of the brain cancer (B-cell lymphoma) that we had feared. Currently she has numbness and weakness on her left side. We are thankful that her speech and mentation (thinking!) seem to be unaffected. She should be going home tonight (Wednesday, February 16), and can start physical therapy in Florida within the week.
We feel blessed that the tests showed no reoccurrence of cancer in her brain. We will continue to pray for her recovery. I know she would welcome your prayers too.

On March 1 we were informed that Linda had returned to Ohio for an evaluation at the Cleveland Clinic. There the doctors have issued a preliminary conclusion that her brain tumor has returned. There is no indication at this time as to what the treatment will be going forward. But in the meantime, please keep Linda and her family in your prayers. Updates will follow as we receive them.
