Biography of David Miller
After graduation, I joined the US Air Force, July 64 to May 68. A year in Vietnam convinced me to get out of the service and finish school on the GI bill. I graduated from Middle Tenn. State University with a degree in Industrial Management. I found myself working in the insurance industry for 32 years, the last six years as manager of the Nashville office of REM a subsidiary of Zurich Financial Group.
In 1964 I married Lynn Craig from Detroit who I met at MTSU. We have two children,Kim and Craig and five grandchildren. After 38 years in education, the last 13 as principal, Lynn retired in 2003. I followed in Dec. 2004. We spend our time doing volunteer work at our church, traveling with friends and spending time with family. We live on a golf course and I find myself on the course a lot chasing the little white ball.
