Biography of Bruce Astarita

In 1965 I graduated from the University of Detroit with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree. In 1970 I graduated from University of Delaware with a Masters in Education.

Between 1968 and 1972 I helped develop the curriculum and purchase equipment for the Electronic Technology Department at Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown Delaware. The Community Relations Director for the college system interviewed me to find out how I was spending the state's money to fund a successful program. We were married in 1969.

We have one daughter who is currently teaching at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Between 1972 and 1990 I worked for the TRW Digital Development Laboratory.

Today I write computer voice interface software for Social Security Administration applications that allow severely disabled persons to navigate to and populate application objects hands-free/eyes-free by voicing a single command.
