Biography of James Dible

I married Judy Andryc from Parma OH in 1963 after we met at Kent State. After graduating from Kent in 1964, I worked in radio in Kenton OH and Tiffin OH for a couple of years and then began my newspaper career as a reporter at the Tiffin paper. Paper was sold in 1973 and I became editor and worked with same group for next 20 years. We moved to Lewistown, PA, in 1981 when I became publisher of that paper for our company. Company sold in 1993 and for next two years I ran a new media startup for a publishing friend. Moved to Erie PA in 1996 as GM of a family-owned publishing company. Became CEO in 2003 and retired from there when I turned 65 in 2007. Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership then asked me to lead that organization ( I had been a board member), and that assignment ends at the end of 2010.

Judy and I have two sons and 10 grandchildren, ranging in age from one year to 19. Both sons live in PA. We are both very active in community efforts and go to 20 or so Cleveland Indians games and lots of other sporting events. We go to as many concerts as we can find (Three Dog Night, Doobie Brothers, Chicago, George Thorogood and the Destroyers recent examples).
