Biography of Charles Cooper
Upon graduation worked in sales. In 1963 enlisted in the U. S. Army proudly serving in Thailand and Vietnam, taught English in a Catholic Boys School in my spare. time. (Thank you Sister La Donna?)
Discharged in 1966 and married Barbara Adelman 61’ in October 1966 and resided in Norwalk. Worked in sales for Holman Jewelers from 1966-1974.
In 1975 an opportunity presented itself to move to Tiffin Ohio and manage Jeffrey Jewelry. Three years later we purchased Jeffrey Jewelry…this decision led to owning and operating stores through the years in Sandusky, Put-In-Bay, Tiffin, and Upper Sandusky. Currently, Jeffrey Jewelry has two locations. The Tiffin store is located in Wolf Creek Shopping Center which we built in 1997 and is managed by our son Ty. An Upper Sandusky store is managed by our son Chad. Our daughter Kelli owns Threads (a woman’s boutique) also in Tiffin, Ohio.
I have been active in Catholic School Fundraising and Local Community Development. In 2007, I co-founded the Tiffin Art Guild and serve as Co-President and advisor. The Tiffin Art Guild now boasts its own gallery and Annual Art Festival.
Hobbies include boating, fishing, Blackjack, and art. We enjoy spending time with out four grandchildren and look forward to meeting a fifth in December. We spend many summer weekends in Marblehead and winters are spent in Fort Myers Beach.
