Biography of Betty Ott Smith
After graduation I attended the Cleveland Academy of Cosmetology and was licensed in early 1961. I worked in a shop on Corwin St. until my marriage in 1963 to Jim Smith a 1959 graduate of Milan High. At that time I moved the beauty shop to the home we purchased on Welton Ave.
In 1972 we moved to a home next to my homestead on Whittlesey Road, where we are still residing.
We have two children, Mark a 1982 graduate of St. Paul and Michelle a 1986 graduate of St. Paul. We have 6 grandchildren, Taylor Smith a 2010 graduate of Norwalk High, Corynne and Devin Smith attending St. Paul. Sheridan, Zane and Nolan Conney also attending St. Paul.
Retired, now I spend lots of my time volunteering at St. Paul Parish in the funeral lunch and art and environment ministries as well as a choir member and a Eucharistic minister.
