Biography of Linda Stutzman

Well, I was all set to enter nursing school after graduation, and a customer walked into Harter’s Pharmacy and said, “I have a nephew I’d like you to meet,” and entered Duane Stutzman who, it turned out, was the love of my life. Harter’s went out of business shortly after and another customer offered me a job at the Reflector Herald where I was a teletype operator, proof reader, whatever they needed. Meanwhile, Duane and I married at St. Paul’s.

I worked at the R-H till the birth of our first born, Barb. Two years later we had a son Michael. Barb and her husband now have two children, Olivia and a brother Carson. Mike now has two boys, Jordan and Nick. He is single and lives in Huron.

Duane worked at Norwalk Truck Line when we first married; then he got a better idea and went to work at Ford in Sandusky for the next almost thirty years. We celebrated our 40th anniversary by renewing our vows where we were married. The next day he passed away. It’s been seven years now since he died.

I moved to Sandusky, never thinking I’d leave Norwalk which I still miss, but life goes on. So for now I am still into antiques which was also a good share of our lives. I have a booth at the Norwalk Antique Mall. I am also into karaoke and go places with a group of gal pals, also widows, whom I call my friends.

So enjoy everyday life, family, and friends and thank God for every day!
