Rita Woodside
After graduation, I went to work as a Medical Assistant for N.M. Camardese, M.D., while taking evening classes in Medical Terminology and Anatomy in Cleveland.
I married Rolland Woodside in 1964, but unfortunately we separated in 1989, after 25 years of marriage. We had our first daughter (Rhonda) in 1965, at which time I left the medical office and went to work for the Carpenters’ Union & Apprenticeship Program, where I stayed for approximately thirteen years. During those years, I alternated between part and full time because of the birth of two more daughters (Robin in 1967 and Raquel in 1971). I then moved to the Division office of Janesville Products for approximately six years, beginning in Accounts Payable and ending in Personnel/Human Resources.
In 1985, I took the position of Executive Secretary to the President of Fisher-Titus Medical Center. After fourteen years, I transferred into the Finance and Foundation areas of Fisher-Titus until retirement in 2008.
I now enjoy gardening, golf, travel, volunteer work and spending time with family, friends and eight active grandchildren (five in Norwalk attending St. Paul and three in NC).
